Malta Sotheby’s International Realty recently hosted their first event for 2023, at the prestigious Westin Dragonara Resort in St Julian’s, where the award-winning team came together to celebrate their achievement for 2022 and set new goals for the year ahead.
The much-anticipated event featured a jam-packed day full of motivational talks, inspirational guests and exciting announcements that saw the team rally together for what is planned to be yet another record-breaking year.
“Our annual company assembly is one looked forward to by the entire team each year and the perfect way to keep morale high by reminding them of all that they achieved the year before. For the past three years we have grown significantly from strength to strength having sold many of the islands most prestigious and outstanding properties to date. This is a testament to the dedication and skill our team provides and the type of success our clients expect when working with a global brand such as Sotheby’s International Realty,” explains Michael J. Zammit, Director and & Joint Owner of Malta Sotheby’s International Realty.
The event outlined the company’s growth strategy for 2023 with new marketing tactics, the launch of a new Senior Sales Associate incentive programme and a grand announcement that the leader in luxury property would be opening a third office in the renowned Tigne Point Lifestyle Development.
“2023 is a significant year for the company as it marks our tenth year in Malta since attracting the prestigious brand to our beautiful island. What better way to celebrate this, then by expanding our reach. This new office will only build on the success we have experienced these past ten years as we continue to be the agency of choice when it comes to representing luxury property,” continues Zammit.
The team also enjoyed various motivational talks from inspiring speakers including well-known property developer Joseph Portelli, who encouraged the team to continue taking big leaps for themselves and their clients.
Sotheby’s International Realty Head of the Europe, Middle East, India and Africa (EMEIA) Region, Natalie Mik was also in attendance. Mik’s focus as the head of the EMEIA Region is on supporting each affiliate in the EMEIA by developing strategies that focus on growth and profitability. She took the opportunity to congratulate Malta Sotheby’s International Realty on their achievements and to share the brands vision for the future.
Mik also had the pleasure of inviting Malta Sotheby’s International Realty Marketing and Operations Manager Maxine Fraivillig and Senior Sales Associates Richard Bellerby and Josabeth Cassar to the Sotheby’s International Realty Global Networking Event (GNE), taking place in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA later this year.

A total of 12 awards were presented to the Malta Sotheby’s International Realty Team at their annual team event, with Senior Sales Associate Josabeth Cassar being awarded as the Top Sales Performer for 2022 and the Top Sales Listing Agent by Volume for 2022. Senior Sales Associate Richard Bellerby took home the title of Top Sales Listing Agent by Value for 2022 as well as the Top Sales Performance - Runner Up.
Lettings and Commercial Agent Alexander Tadj took home the award for Top Rental Performance in 2022, whilst Rental Agent Lana Buks -Vaivade was awarded as the Top Rental Performance - Runner Up for 2022, Top Letting Listing Agent by Value and the Top Letting Listings Agent by Volume for 2022.
Malta Sotheby’s International Realty Head of Admin Shirley Herron received the Team Player award for 2022 whilst James Grumley, Richard Bellerby and Josabeth Cassar received long service Awards for their five years of dedicated service to the company.
